LEARN FROM A WORKING HOLLYWOOD COMPOSER
TESTIMONIALS
"Your approach of Acts 1, 2 and 3 ... build ideas, build instrument palette, to orchestration ... it's brilliant and I've adopted that approach ... it's an honour to learn from you."
"It's clear and detailed and I like the fact that you encourage individuality and creativity within the set process, it has helped me to focus on the details I sometimes neglect ... Thanks for the great work building the course."
I'm very happy to write this: one of my produced songs was nominated for two European film festivals (Spain and France)..I would like to thank you, Ian Honeyman , for your course. Everything started here. I had no idea how to articulate ideas or create the essence of scores/songs, and I'm already grateful even at this early stage.
"I'm starting to get a much clearer sense of how to move from piano to orchestration, and how to fill the gaps in a practical way ... Adding a cymbal at the end of a mid range instrument passage, that was a lightbulb moment. You make it look easy."
"My best film scoring teacher ever! Ian is very thoughtful and has a deep understanding of film scoring! Not only of knowledge but also understanding the relationship between music, composer and audience!"
"Studying with Ian opened up my world as a composer. His skill set and experience are so valuable, and his process makes creating music much easier. If you have the opportunity to learn from Ian I would definitely recommend you take it!"
"Ian's mentorship was transformative. His mastery of storytelling through music gave me the confidence to grow as a composer, sharpened my skills and helped me to discover my own unique voice."

You want a music theory course. This is hands-on, real-world composing.
If you've used a DAW and are excited to learn, you’re ready. This course is for musicians with some experience and basic DAW familiarity - no film scoring background required. Student-level musicianship is totally fine.
This is a self-paced course with pre-recorded videos and lifetime access. Start when you are ready, go at your own pace, and come back whenever inspiration strikes.
YouTube is good for tips, but it’s scattered and inconsistent. This course gives you a focused, proven system to create cinematic, story-driven music that sounds professional and gets remembered.
Not at all. All you need is a laptop or computer, a DAW, a MIDI keyboard, and headphones or speakers. You'll learn how to create professional-sounding film music from whatever setup you have right now.
Yes! Great results come from process, not expensive tools. You'll learn to get cinematic results with what you have - plus you'll get a gear-buying guide so you know exactly what's worth investing in.
The course is self-paced and built for busy musicians. The lessons are concise and actionable - even a few hours a week will lead to a pro-quality showreel without burnout.
This course meets you where you are and takes your music to a new level. Whether you're just starting or already producing, you'll learn the techniques and creative tools to dramatically improve your work - fast. You'll finish with music that's clear, confident, and uniquely yours.
Perfect. That means you're serious - and you'll get even more from this. Unlike programs that only teach orchestration or theory, 30 Day Film Composer covers the full process: writing, producing, and finishing cinematic music that's emotional, original, and ready for your showreel.
No course can promise jobs, but this one gives you the tools and strategy to start landing them. You'll create a professional showreel that showcases your voice, learn to produce music that connects emotionally, and develop the skills directors look for. We'll even cover networking and pitching basics.
No problem. We're creating a beginner-friendly First-Time Composer course. Email [email protected] to get early access.
Not at all - you'll learn what the orchestra can do without needing to read a score. Plenty of working composers came from guitar, production, or playing by ear.
That's exactly why this is built around doing, not watching. You're composing from the first session, and every module ends with something you actually made.
There are exercises built for exactly that, plus the community - with Ian in it, answering questions.
Everything's included: all modules, templates, documents, practice scenes, the community, and every future lesson.
Any DAW works. Templates are included for Logic Pro, Cubase, and Pro Tools, and the process applies wherever you write.
Absolutely. 30 Day Film Composer comes with a 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee. If you start the course and don't feel confident, inspired, and completely satisfied within your first 7 days - email us for a full refund, no questions asked. You have nothing to lose and a film scoring career to gain.
